2022 ANNUAL NARRATIVE REPORT

We are excited to share our 2022 Annual Report!

Despite it being a difficult year for women’s rights organizations worldwide due to COVID-19-related economic shifts and political instability in the Greater Horn of Africa, our efforts made significant impact. We reached over 26,610 beneficiaries and enhanced the skills of 3,154 grassroots women and human rights advocates. Our support to 31 partners helped strengthen the feminist movement, and we produced 18 advocacy statements and 5 research papers highlighting women’s rights violations and calling for change. Additionally, we conducted 3 peaceful demonstrations, 3 advocacy campaigns, engaged 41 duty bearers to address harmful social norms and organized 20 webinars that raised awareness about women’s issues in the region. These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment across key strategic areas notably enhancing women and girls’ access to justice, ending violence against women and girls (VAWG), promoting women’s social protection and economic justice, enhancing the rights of women and girls on the move, and building inclusive women’s movements.
