The Sudan conflict isn’t just affecting its citizens, Ethiopian and Eritrean refugees are bearing the brunt too! For decades, Sudan hosted refugees fleeing conflict and persecution from their countries, including over 125,000 Eritreans and 69,500 Ethiopians. But now, the war in Sudan has forced over 47,000 refugees, especially Ethiopians, to return to their countries, reversing a long-standing migration pattern.
Those remaining in Sudan face uncertainty, disrupted livelihoods, and humanitarian challenges. Women, in particular, are vulnerable to harassment and violence.
SIHA Network reveals the untold impact of the crisis on these vulnerable communities through this research paper produced with the support of the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration.
