Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA) joins the human rights community in the mourning of the loss and celebrating the life of Osman Hummaida a Sudanese human rights defender and activist.
Osman died on Thursday 17th April 2014. He was a prominent Sudanese human rights defender, one of the founders and Executive Director of Africa Centre for Justice and Peace Studies (ACJPS) and also founder for Sudanese Organisation Against Torture.
Osman was a friend and a dedicated human rights defender and activist. His death is a great loss to the Sudanese community and human rights fraternity but his works will go on. We share in his family’s loss and sorrows said Hala Elkarib Regional Director SIHA
