Our flagship event will i) shine a spotlight on women’s rights challenges in Somalia, ii) urge Somalia’s government to ratify the Maputo Protocol without reservations, iii) reinforce the connections between sexual violence accountability, the African Charter, and the Maputo Protocol and also iv) present actionable grassroots-driven recommendations for both the ACHPR and the Somali state, highlighting Somalia’s responsibilities as a member of the African Charter
