Today, SIHA joins the women’s rights movement in Sudan commemorating the first Sudan Women Protest that was held on 31st March 2019. the women protest happened three days before the Khartoum massacre where hundreds of men and women were killed at the time and tens of women were raped, still awaiting justice .
The women’s protest was derived from the developments witnessed during the Sudan women-led revolution in a bid to sustain the inclusion of women in Sudan’s political discourse and to support women access to justice and equality .
Five months later – in October 2019, SIHA organized the first Sudan Women’s Convening under the umbrella of Sudan Women protest which brought together Sudanese women of different backgrounds, ethnicity, political affiliation and activism tenure. The Convening held in Khartoum established a platform for Sudanese women to come together and celebrate their successes but also have honest and sometimes challenging, controversial discussions. Over 3 decades of social and ethnic polarization under the former repressive regime fragmented the civil society which led to uncoordinated responses and efforts. Space created enabled the lifting of some misconceptions and allowed women to express solidarity. It also allowed for the beginning of healing and reconstructing collective care strategies within the women’s movement in Sudan. The convening’s objective debates and recommendations reflected the maturity, sensibility and objectivity of the women’s movement in Sudan.
Today – on the first anniversary of the Sudan Women Protest, SIHA is thrilled to launch a report and video that captures the discourse and highlights culminating from 3 days of introspective and critical wiliness by the Sudan women’s movement to overcome decades of repression and charter a way forward on uniting for change across the different pre-existing divisions. The most potent outcome of the convening was the commitment by each and every woman present in the space to awaken an inclusive women’s movement.
بيان صحفي –عام علي قيام الموكب النسوي
اليوم فى شبكة صيحة نضم صوتنا الي ملايين من النساء السودانيات مطالبين بالعدالة والحقوق فى ذكرى مذبحة الخرطوم المؤلمة والتي راح ضحيتها العشرات من السودانين والسودانيات وتعرضت خلالها العشرات من النساء السودانيات لجريمة الاغتصاب البشعة. و بينما لا تزال العدالة بعيدة المنال تواصل نساء السودان نضالاتهن المشرقة والمشرفة.
نحتفي اليوم بذكري قيام تجمع الموكب النسوى المنصة التي تجمع عشرات النساء من مختلف بقاع السودان والتي نظمت في يوم 31 مايو 2019 موكبا مهيبا تحرك من حدائق الشهداء فى الخرطوم الي ساحة الاعتصام المجيدة امام القيادة العامة . وقد استمد الموكب النسوي مشروعيتة من ارث المقاومة الثر لنساء السودان من مختلف المناطق و الخلفيات الثقافية والتوجهات السياسية ليعبر عن الثورة التي قادتها النساء السودانيات من اجل الوصول للمساواة والعدالة.
في أكتوبر 2019 ، نظمت شبكة صيحة والنساء تحت مظلة الموكب النسوى أول لقاء معلن وشامل للنساء السودانيات جمع بين النساء من مختلف الخلفيات ، والانتماءات السياسية والاعمار والخبرات. قدم الاجتماع المنعقد في الخرطوم منبرا ومساحة للنساء السودانيات للتحاور و ليجتمعن ويحتفلن بنجاحاتهن و في نفس الوقت ليخضن فى مناقشات صادقة، شفافة وموضوعية .
أدت أكثر من ثلاثة عقود من الاستقطاب السياسيى و الاجتماعي والثقافي والحروب في ظل النظام القمعي السابق إلى تشظي شرائح المجتمع السوداني بما فى ذلك الحراك النسوي و نتج عن ذلك جهود مبعثرة والكثير من سؤ التفاهم وسؤ الظن. .
تمكّن اللقاء من هزم بعض المفاهيم الخاطئة والافكار المسبقة وكشف عن المقدرات العظيمة والموروثة لدي النساء السودانيات فى التضامن والمناصرة والمقدرة علي التواصل عبر الثقافات والتوجهات السياسية. كماء وفر اللقاء الفرصة للنساء لبلورة استرتجيات وتصورات نابعة من فكر نسوي خلاق وصادق حول اعادة بناء السودان كما اتاح اللقاء مساحة للتعافي والتفاهم.
اليوم – في الذكرى السنوية الأولى للموكب النسوي وذكرى الاعتصام العظيمة ، تسعد شبكة صيحة بإصدار تقرير مفصل عن نتائج ا جتماع الموكب النسوي و فيديو يلتقط اللقاء ويسلط الضوء على 3 أيام من العمل المثمر الواعي للحركة النسوية السودانية الرائدة .
