We are pleased to announce that, with support from the United Nations Democracy Fund, SIHA is set to begin a project to support grassroots urban poor women street vendors to formulate their political agendas and elevate their voices in politics through training, community outreach and civic engagement for the Sudan general election of 2020. The project presents a good opportunity for women to demonstrate leadership at the community level and to allow urban poor women to claim their space in the political process.
SIHA will engage community stakeholders to promote gender equality in politics through public events, social media, engagement of men and boys, the youth, other civil society organizations and the broader community.
