The journal explores the complexities of gender relations in Muslim communities in the Horn of Africa and beyond, engaging critically with conflicting perceptions of Islam in relation to women’s rights and equality. It is devoted to providing a space for Muslim and non-Muslims from different walks of life to discuss the social, political and cultural challenges associated with the intersection of Islam and Gender, and promote progressive voices on gender equality and justice.
