SIHA welcomes the release and the dropping of charges against Lul Ali Isman, but more to be done
Somali court of appeal overturned the sentence against Lul Ali Isman who had alleged that she had been raped by Somali government security forces in one of the IDP camps in Mogadishu. However, the sentence against Abdiaziz Abdinur Ibrahim, the journalist who interviewed Isman and tried to reveal the story, was only reduced to six months.
